Matthew Craven (from NYABF at MoMA PS1)

 This episode of Sound & Vision features a live podcast recorded on the occasion of Los Angeles based artist Matthew Craven’s book release at the New York Art Book Fair. On September 21st, Brian had a conversation with Matthew at MoMA PS1 to discuss his new book ‘Primer’ which was published by Anthology Editions. Matthew Craven was born in Michigan. He earned a BFA from Michigan State University, and received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts, NY. He has exhibited widely in the United States and abroad, including solo and two-person exhibitions at David Shelton Gallery, Houston; DCKT Contemporary, NY; Allegra LaViola Gallery, NY; Marvelli Gallery, NY; Gallery Hijinks, San Francisco; Packing, Detroit; 101/Exhibit, Los Angeles; Asya Geisberg Gallery, NY; and Get This! Gallery, Atlanta. He has a current show up with Asya Geisberg Gallery up throgh October 20th and he’ll have an LA book launch for Primer at Big Picture Los Angeles on October 19th.
