To be ruthless is to treat another person without mercy. Because of the narcissist's skillful use of seductive charm and social graces, it is difficult for most people to believe that a narcissist be cold and ruthless. Whe he wants something from you, he is purposesly disarming, listening to your every word. Often successful professionally, the high level narcissist may impress you with the fruits of his elegant lifestyle. He gives you a rush, a feeling of excitement. The accoutrements of his pwer are compelling, even thrilling. But this is the ploy of the high level narcissist. Partners of high level don't realize that they are giving vital parts of themselves away, diluting their creative energies, exhausting their body/mind systems, remaining in the sympathetic fight or flight nervous system, plagued with chronic insomnia, disgestive disorders, migraines. At a point of awakening you recognize that you are embroiled in an non-relationship with an abusive, regressed high level narcissist. You have done the research and intuitively know that you can move forward along your pathway of the true, authentic self.
