God Bless You, Chick-fil-A: You've Got to Hear College Student's Viral Song
Jared Vardaman is a Christian singer songwriter and senior communications student at Mississippi College. He's been performing publicly since the age of 3 and even has a singing group with his family. He leads worship at his church as well. But his claim to fame is a parody song he wrote and performed on Facebook that has received thousands of views and comments. Inspired by comedian Tim Hawkins' song, "God Bless you, Chick-fil-A", Jared is now known as the "Chick-fil-A guy" wherever he goes. Here's a look at some of the song lyrics: At Mississippi College there’s a brand new store in town. Thank the Lord for old Blake Thompson and that ‘eat more chikin’ cow. Now the incoming freshman will never know the pain of craving a chocolate chip cookie. And a frozen lemonade. So I raise a toast with my milkshake, raise it high for all to see. And I won’t forget those chickens who fried who gave their life for me. So I grab this sandwich, take a bite and put it back down on the tray. There ain’t no doubt I love this place, God bless you, Chick-fil-A! This episode was edited by Jim Mann, Mann Made Productions. For fan gear, freebies and more visit ChickfilaPodcast.com.
