The DC animation revolves upon the love story between Barry and Iris West. Crisis on Infinite Earths follows them through their courtship, marriage, and eventual end of life together, all of which are connected to the multiversal catastrophe at hand. Their relationship raises the stakes even further and provides the film with its emotional centre. I was struck by the seriousness at every moment, as if every minute they shared was a precious diamond that should be kept, especially in light of the multiverse's devastation.
