Elizabeth Short: The Black Dahlia

Billy and Paul examine one of the most perplexing unsolved murders in America, the Black Dahlia. In the first of a two part series, Paul examines the autopsy summaries, and through the lens of advancements in forensics, identifies the wounds inflicted on Elizabeth Short. These new observations lead directly into new possible theories. This episode was part of a batch record before Paul went into surgery last week. At the top of the show, we address the immense importance of the Black Lives Matter movement and the steps we can take for change, including the first steps in a massive dismantling of how policing is done in America. Next week we will devote the episode on police brutality and how things can—and must—change.
