Episode 37 and Wendi and Dfernando's guest interview is with visual artist and home designer/builder Michael Soltis. Michael Soltis is an American/Canadian visual artist and home designer/builder. He has a Masters Degree in Education, has worked in the business and non-profit sector as a high level manager, and was a film and television actor for several years. His passion has always been the arts and his work has been shown in several galleries throughout North America and been featured in Canadian HOUSE a HOME, HGTV.CA, ANTHOLOGY MAGAZINE, THE ARTIST CATALOGUE, THE VANCOUVER TED CONFERENCE, COMIC CON in Vancouver as well as several contemporary art blogs and articles. He is the recipient of awards from both the Society of Canadian Artists and the Canadian Federation of Artists and his paintings are held in corporate and private collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. As a home designer/builder, Michael is the founder of SOLTIS PROJECTS. The combination of Michael’s business mind and artist’s heart offers a unique perspective to home building and design. His enthusiasm for creativity and aesthetics brings a sense of energy and fun to the building process and his administration and management skills ensure that his projects remain on budget and are completed efficiently and within time allotments. With a focus on “building relationships through building homes” he works hard to make the process as enjoyable as possible. Though he has since retired from acting, his work as an actor can’t be ignored. On film he has appeared in X2: X-MEN UNITED,and WALKING TALL. His extensive work on television includes the acclaimed Steven Spielberg produced mini-series TAKEN, SMALLVILLE, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME, SUPERNATURAL, Hallmark’s WHEN CALLS THE HEART and STARGATE SG-1. Michael is dad to Kaya Lucy and Zane Philip. Also on Episode 37, Wendi and Dfernando kick-off their first 2021 episode discussing Hilaria Baldwin.
