103 Pain Part 2 with Jessica Minerd-Massey
In this episode, we examine “life” in chronic pain, with special guest. Jessica Minerd-Massey. In her own words “I'm Jessica Minerd-Massey, a severe chronic pain survivor and broken artist who wants to spread awareness of how many other pain patients are being treated because of the misapplication of the 2016 CDC guidelines and the false narrative of the opioid "crisis". Despite more than a 35% cut to the amount of prescription pain meds allowed to be manufactured and tens of thousands of pain patients being cut off from their meds or forced to taper down, the overdose rate continues to climb, as does the suicide rate. There is no reason for this, other than politics. There are many groups out there trying to raise awareness, change laws, enact safeguards and support these patients, but most, if not all, are run by patients themselves. Most of us are too hurt or ill to take to the streets, we need help so we can help ourselves and others.
