We made it to episode 150, and we finally got to the long awaited “Heterosexual Movie by Gregg Araki”, The Doom Generation with our friend Rudy Bleu. The anti-Clueless, this movie was every alternative young person’s bible. Following two troubled teen lovers (James Duval and Rose McGowan) who pick up a mysterious drifter named Xavier (Jonathan Schaech) and run wild through the slums of the San Fernando Valley. The Doom Generation is quintessential 90s viewings.  We talk about the sexual charge of Jonathan Schaech’s eyebrows, James Duval’s puppy dog delivery, the wild celebrity cameos by the likes of Eve Plumb, Amanda Bearse, Heidi Fleiss, and how iconic Rose McGowan is in that black bob. Grab some Doritos, and queue of your favorite industral track.
