UK academic and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holder Nitasha Kaul was deported upon arrival at Bengaluru airport. The deportation was based on a lookout circular issued due to Kaul's persistent "pro-separatist comments" and "anti-India" statements. Kaul had been invited by the Congress Siddaramaiah government of Karnataka to participate in the 'Constitution and National Unity Convention-2024' on 24 and 25 February. However, despite the invitation, Kaul was deported.
