ગોત્રદ વ્રતવ્રત કથાઓ- આ વ્રત પાછળની વાર્તા આપણી સંસ્કૃતિમાં ગાયનું મહત્વ અને એ પણ જણાવે છે કે કેવી રીતે આ વ્રત એક બ્રાહ્મણને ગાયના શ્રાપથી મુક્ત કરે છે અને એક બાળક દ્વારા આશીર્વાદ આપે છે. એવું કહેવાય છે કે જે લોકો સંતાન ઈચ્છતા હોય તેઓએ આ વ્રત કરવું જોઈએ.
