Disney+ purchases global distribution rights for Doctor Who
The iconic British sci-fi fantasy series, Doctor Who has been snapped up by Disney+ in a global streaming partnership. The streaming giant will have exclusivity for upcoming seasons of the hit TV series globally while BBC will continue to stream it in the U.K. and Ireland. It was revealed earlier this year that Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa will take over the reins of the character from David Tennant in three years after Tennant was shockingly revealed to be the next Doctor replacing the outgoing Jodi Whittaker.
