Married and father to four children, Wim abruptly faces a difficult juncture in his life when his wife passes away, leaving him to tend to the kids on his own. To overcome the grief, he learns the techniques of cold shock and breathing. Sony Pictures acquires rights to The Asian GamesSony Pictures Network India (SPN) has bagged the rights to the 2022 Asian Games, being hosted at Hangzhou, China. The network, with exclusive South Asia rights, plans to broadcast it in India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Maldives and Bangladesh. The event will also be available on Sony LIV from September 2023. Jake Gyllenhaal to feature in Cut and RunNew Republic Pictures has nabbed the rights to thriller film Cut and Run. The film will feature Jake Gyllenhaal as the master conman, heading a group of thieves. Over and above starring in the heist film, Gyllenhaal will also produce the film under his banner Nine Stories Productions. Nicolas Cage’s The Old Way to release later this yearThe rights to Nicolas Cage’s western drama The Old Way have been nabbed by Saban Films. It will now be released in theaters in the latter part of the year. The story centers around a retired gunslinger named Colton Bridge, played by Cage. He is shaken off his retirement when his wife is killed in cold blood by a group of criminals. He takes his young daughter under his wing for his quest for revenge. The film, directed by Brett Donowho,  also stars Nick Searcy and Shiloh Fernandez.John Larroquette turns narrator for Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the sequel to 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre that is slated to premiere on Netflix, has John Larroquette on board as narrator as an homage to its predecessor. For the uninitiated, Larroquette opened the original movie as well with its iconic news brief. The new edition will debut on the streaming platform on February 18.Gangubai Kathiawadi release date announcedSanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly awaited Gangubai Kathiawadi has got a theatrical release date. The film, led by Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, will open in cinemas on 25 February, after its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival. Meanwhile, Bhansali has also reportedly roped in an intimacy director for his upcoming Netflix saga Heeramandi. With social distancing being maintained on sets, an intimacy director is tasked with coordinating the physical proximity between actors. The series will be generation-spanning, “huge saga about the courtesans of Lahore.”Kichcha Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona to not release on February 24The release date of Kichcha Sudeep’s Kannada magnum opus Vikrant Rona has been postponed in light of the COVID-19 restrictions all over the country. The makers announced in a statement that the new release date will be announced soon. Earlier, Vikrant Rona was slated to hit screens on February 24.
