Overview: Marriage as Commitment

A person who understands the gospel–who has the gospel in his or her blood–is a person who is strong and yet humble, and therefore, out of reverence for Christ submits and is able to serve other people, putting the needs of other people ahead of their own. This is the basis of a marriage. In today’s passage, Paul gives us not just the power of marriage, but also its definition. This sermon was preached by Rev. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on August 25, 1991. Series "Marriage". Scripture: Ephesians 5:22-33.
