In this episode of The Angels Share, we’re highlighting a distillery in historic Jessamine County that is reviving the E.J. Curley whiskey brand.
E.J. Curley, originally founded in the 1860’s, was known as the Camp Nelson Distillery, RD #15 in the 8th District.
Current Founder, Matthew Parker, and Master Blender, Ashley Barnes, from The Spirits Group, join us to discuss the history of E.J. Curley and the plans which are underway for the distillery experience and the grounds.
The Distillery, slated to open to the public late Summer/early Fall 2022, will feature a self-guided audio tour of the original distillery grounds.
Development is also underway on a tasting room and even some camping/recreation opportunities on-site.
The Angels even get to have their share, partaking in a guided tasting of E.J. Curley Small Batch, 95 proof and E.J. Curley Single Barrel No. 21.
