Those Who Finish First, First Fail. So Get Started!

When I was admitted to Columbia University for graduate school I paused and just stared at the letter. My finger slowly traced the school emblem at the top of the page, a scene I imagine every student must do when admitted to one of the most elite colleges in the country. I remember asking myself, “Geez, I wonder if I could have been admitted when I was a senior in high school.” The answer is “No.” The irony is that if I could do it over again, I now know exactly what I would need to do. What I’m unveiling today is the culmination of what I’ve learned over the last 20 years - what it takes to get admitted to highly selective colleges. This episode is for those who dream big. You dream of places like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, a Stanford. I believe with all my heart that anyone can get there with the right guidance, support system, belief, and willingness to put in the work. If you want the blueprint on how to increase your chances at H-Y-P-S, this episode is for you! Episode 31
