A few centuries ago, women were burned at the stake. Now, in our current era, in addition to physical violence, women are also digitally lynched on social media for expressing an unpopular opinion or just taking up space. This is not just words. This is violence and there has been an alarming surge against women, particular women of colour, in the COVID-19 era.
