In the realm of Tarot, they could easily be referred to as descendants of Adam and Eve, reminiscent of the world of Narnia. They have secured a grand mansion in the Catskills for a brief stay. Unfortunately, their supply of alcohol has depleted, but instead of making a trip to the store or ordering through Instacart, they embark on a search throughout the house for any remaining booze. This quest leads them to break open a door that explicitly warns against entry. Within this forbidden room, they stumble upon an ancient wooden box containing a set of tarot cards. Each person receives a reading, but little did they know that they would awaken more than just spirits. With no emotional attachment to any of them, I found myself indifferent to the fate of each individual. As the film lacks excessive gore, it relies heavily on its tone, atmosphere, and sudden frights.
