Before joining Brown University Professor Oster was a faculty member of the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business following the completion of her PhD from Harvard. Emily’s research covers development economics, health economics and research design. Professor Oster is the author of “Expecting Better: Why the Conventional Pregnancy Wisdom Is Wrong — and What You Really Need to Know”.
