On this episode DJ Slikk talks about his early years growing up in Mayfield, KY and all the great things from his hometown. Slikk talks about playing high school football, how one of his teachers led him down the path of wanting to become an educator, all while having a love and passion for music. DJ Slikk talks about starting to DJ at a early age spinning music at his friends parties. Slikk would later graduate high school and attend Western Kentucky University. While at WKU DJ Slikk would join the Fraternity Phi Beta Sigma, how he teamed up with Randle a Skee of Detroit Productions to go on to be Western Kentucky’s biggest college party promoters. We talk about the video  J. Hatch shot in the hallway, getting behind Jaurel, Flamez and Solo and pushing their music, the birth of his mixtape series “At the Crib” while at WKU, to ultimately graduating and beginning his career as a teacher. Slikk would later go on to work with Kymp Kamp DJ’s with DJ Marlei Mar, the stress with the Kymp Kamp Awards to having a funeral for Kymap Kamp. We discuss the birth of the ELITEgiance, what it takes to become a member, the Kentucky Urban Entertainment Awards and if there will be an award show this year!
