Draft: Political Movies

Welcome back to the Bill Bradley Collective, where in deference to the forthcoming NFL Player Selection Meeting, your hosts present the inaugural Political Movie Draft. You’ve heard us draft the best and worst men and women across each sports and politics, as well as our choices for best sports movies, and this week follows a similar format. *Five* selections per collective host, drafted in snake fashion following a hotly contested session of roshambo determining the all important order. Choices are discussed and analyzed for the extent and substance of their political content, as well as cinematic quality. No formal genre requirements were imposed, but eclecticism in draft choices was encouraged. The Collective cover many classics of the genre, including historical dramas, biopics, thrillers, satires, animated comedies and documentary features. In true Collective fashion, the nature and veracity of the “political” movie is brought into question from the very beginning with a nod to the many un-drafted works of one Aaron Sorkin. Located at the intersections of Mel Kiper and Siskel & Ebert, Hollywood and Washington, D.C., be sure to join us this week on the Bill Bradley Collective.
