He is currently a Faculty Associate at UBC tasked with mentoring and evaluating teacher candidates while on practicum and he has a Post Baccalaureate in Educational Technology. In 2007, he founded Education Beyond Borders (http://www.educationbeyondborders.org), a non-profit NGO with the focus on education reform, teacher professional development, and community leadership and action planning.
