Self Care for Menopause: The Wise Woman’s Guide

In the spirit of growing better as we grow older, I begin this show with a key part of any good self-care plan—being able to ask for help. I don’t know about you, but I’ve struggled with this. And now I’m on the other side AND a big advocate for getting as much support as I can. If you find it challenging to ask for help… this one’s for you. I had a lot of fun in this interview with hosts of the Hot Flashes a Cool Topics podcast, Colleen Rosenblum and Bridgett Garratt. What a lively pair! They actually make going through menopause sound … well … appealing. For real. And as a survivor, I’d agree. For now all the old pretenses and worries finally die off. As we noted in the show, we shift into ‘Ambition 2.0’ and no longer feel like driven over-achievers who must show up everyone else in the room. In other words, we can relax! Here’s what else I learned: What ‘The Invisible Woman Syndrome’ is and why it matters Where exactly did all that ambition go? How menopause helps us with our values How to maintain energy when it seems to be fleeting Menopause and our shifting body image Should you medicate your way through menopause? It’s an inspiring show. Whether you’ve been there or not, you’re going to learn something powerful about your body and your heart and soul. Thanks for being on Team Self-Care!
