6 - The Pokémon Shock
On December 16, 1997, an episode of Pokémon aired in Japan. The next day, reports began to spread of hundreds, even thousands, of children experiencing dizziness, blurred vision, and convulsions while watching the show. Pokémon went on hiatus for four months.
