Ep. 79: What Does Equitable ELA Instruction Require?

We would love to hear from you! Send us a message (if you'd like a reply, email us at literacypodcast@greatminds.org)

In this episode we talked with UnboundED’s Brandon White and Alice Wiggins about the Equitable ELA Instruction Concept Paper.

In our conversation, we’ll discuss effective and equitable instruction and the most efficient path to access it. This requires us, as educators, to do three things:

  1. Adopt an aligned curriculum.
  2. Provide instructional support that fosters all students' persistence with grade-level reading and thinking.
  3. Provide targeted intervention in addition to and in service of grade-level learning.
