Winston Hodges survived his time at Virginia Tech and started his stand-up career in Richmond, Va., five years ago. He moved to Washington, D.C., during the pandemic and is releasing a half-hour special, inspired by his dad's death, called Grieving Productively. It comes out at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, so watch it after you listen to this. He's a funny guy who's been inside a church and didn't feel the burning. How many comedians can say that?
