Anniston, AL - William Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Robocop"

Welcome to "The Model City", Anniston, AL!  Along with Selma, AL, Anniston ranks as one of the top cities by most violent and property crimes in the US according to FBI data, but don't let that deter you!  Anniston has a rich history that is worth noting, such as the firebombing of a Freedom Riders bus in 1961, the racially motivated murder of Willie Brewster after a white racist rally, and it was the birthplace of Nannie Doss, an American female serial killer responsible for the murders of four husbands, two children, her sister, her mother, two grandsons, and a mother-in-law.  Anniston is also home to the Anniston PCB Superfund Site, where PCBs were produced from 1929 to 1971.  In 1969, the plant dumped about 250 pounds of the chemicals into the Snow Creek per day.  So grab your bulletproof HAZMAT suit, and join us for a romp through Anniston!
