EP26: Are most afrobeats artists broke?
A lot of afrobeats artist are struggling to make ends meet with even some of the popular artists with hits being broke. Ghanaian dancehall artist Kakie who has had major hits and have songs with other popular Ghanaian musicians in the industry such as Samini revealed that the music industry is very difficult and even though she is an established artist, she still struggles. Some of the male artists have said in the past that they needed sugar mummies to sponsor their studio times and some of the female artists such as sister Afia is rumoured to sleep with men to sponsor their lifestyles. King Promise who is having hits upon hits is rumoured to have duped a woman in the UK into sponsoring his music career. Anyway here is what the Wahaala Boys think of the issue.
