Lofi returns in another episode of the podcast, emerging from the great swamp of New Jersey. Dr.Doppler and I chat about his recent experiments, ranging from his new beat tape “FLIPS & BUMPS” to Ray Gun Tony to creating music in his dorm room so many years ago. In the shadow of the lo-fi hip-hop backlash, a number of artists are trying to bring shape and story back to downtempo music. So we continue the narrative as we then dive into other worldly sound theories, sampling disco r&b from the 70s, and what lies ahead in his journey as a producer.
