SFS 016: How to Become Free in Your Life – New Series
Don't Miss a Thing Get every episode automatically! I’m starting a new series for the SFS podcast entitled: “How to be Free in Your Life.” It will be several episodes covering the main obstacles to freedom, and then tips and strategies for how to dissolve and break-free from them - so you can pursue the life you want. What I mean by “freedom” is personal freedom, not political freedom (also vital). Today, I give you the series overview and intro to what I think are the two main obstacles to personal freedom. 1) Your Psychology 2) Obligations (that tie you down) Personal freedom means you’re totally free in your life, and within yourself, to think and act to create the life you want, without anyone or anything stopping or slowing you down - and enjoying what you’ve achieved. Episode highlights: The 5 types of obligations that restrict your freedom the 4 areas of your psychology that can sabotage your success Listen now in iTunes Today’s Success Challenge Take 30 minutes. On paper, write down everything that's restricting your freedom or weighing you down. What are the obligations, relationships, commitments or ideas that are stopping or slowing you from having the life you want? Let the ideas flow, without censoring, analyzing or judging them. Allow yourself to be totally honest and write whatever comes to mind. You might be surprised at what comes out. You don’t have to show this to anyone, so feel free to write whatever comes up. Then put it aside. You don’t have to do anything with it right now – I just want you to be conscious of these obstacles. You can’t become free if you don’t first know what's restricting your freedom. Email me and let me know how this exercise went and what you discovered. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be going into each of the obstacles to freedom in detail, and giving you tips, strategies and skills for overcoming them. Share the Value If you enjoyed the show, please rate it on iTunes and write a brief review. That would help a lot to spread the word and get more exposure for the podcast.
