A Major Victory For Animals!

On a bonus episode of The Exam Room™ podcast, we are celebrating a major victory for animals!

The lives of hundreds of thousands of mice, rabbits and other mammals will be spared thanks to a new directive by the Environmental Protection Agency. The agency is eliminating all chemical testing on mammals by 2035 and the tests will begin to be phased out long before then!

“The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll is joined by Kristie Sullivan, MPH, Physicians Committee vice president for research policy, to learn exactly when the changes will begin to occur, how the decision could urge other agencies to follow suit, and even how this will affect the products that might be in your home.

You’ll also learn about innovative non-animal testing methods that are more accurate and effective, prevent unnecessary suffering, and save the lives of many animals.

But as you’ll hear there is still much work to be done! Chuck and Kristie also talk about the next steps to continue ending animal testing in labs and medical schools and how you can help!
