Protest is the origin story for Pride and Black Lives Matter movements
One year ago, our country was at the height of the coronavirus pandemic and in the midst of a racial justice movement unlike anything we'd seen since the 1960s. And, it was Pride month. Last June, the pandemic and turmoil over police brutality and racial injustice pushed the 50th anniversary of Pride in new directions.
