Who are You?

How much of your identity is attached to what you look like? Fun fact, you actually don’t even know what you look like! Your reflection in the mirror is backwards, reversed and inaccurate. What you look like in a photo largely depends on the camera, settings, and lighting. Yet we judge ourselves and others heavily based on how we look. This extends to external objects too.

Cars, clothes, houses, and jewelry can all become identity symbols. Your identity and the things that represent your identity are not you. So if your body, your face, and your possessions are not you, then who are you??? If you had to create a “self portrait” without using any of your physical characteristics or material possessions, what would that look, sound or feel like? What would you like me to talk about on the show?
