Let’s Talk About Screen Time (for Our Littles and Ourselves)
Today I’m getting real about screen time—both for our babies and ourselves. As of recording, Korbin is almost 16 months old, and while we’ve been super intentional with screen time (mostly just Miss Rachel), I’ve definitely seen the difference in his energy and behavior when he watches more vs. less. But this episode goes deeper than just our kids’ screen habits. I’m also reflecting on my own screen time and how it impacts my presence, parenting, and relationship with Korbin. From mindless scrolling to using my phone as a “justified” tool, I’ve been learning how to step back and breathe. In this episode:• The slippery slope of “easy” screen time• A quote that stopped me in my tracks: “Screen time is the new secondhand smoke”• How I’m trying to be more mindful with my phone• A practical tip that’s helping me put my phone down• Why we use three deep breaths to transition after screen time—and how Korbin now leads the wayIf you’ve ever felt torn, guilty, or unsure about screen time, this is your reminder: you're not alone. You’re learning, you’re trying and that’s what matters most.P.S. Shoutout to Joey Odom from @amixofmontessori on Instagram for the inspiration!
