Müller-Thurgau: the Son of Riesling

Once it was believed Müller-Thurgau to be the result of a crossing of Riesling with Sylvaner, recent studies have found out it is a crossing of Riesling with Madeleine Royale. Created at the end of nineteenth century by professor Hermann Müller, this variety is still today common in Germany and Italy.
