151. Results, Plateaus, Reverse Dieting, and Hormones with Justin Murphy, BS, CPT

In this weeks episode, I sit down to discuss what to do if you're struggling with getting results. I chat about "metabolic adaptation", reverse dieting, and hormones. 

 

Have you been staying consistent for a few months now and still not seeing results?

 

Assuming you have been consistent and have accounted for all things addressed up to this point, you may be experiencing some additional complications. Obviously we are not doctors, but that doesn’t mean we can’t help you understand what could possibly be inhibiting you from reaching your goals.

 

The 1st step would be to simply reassess.

 

For example...


Was your goal to lose weight?


Did you consistently eat in a calorie deficit?

 

How do you know?

 

Did you track your food intake on Myfitnesspal? Did you cook the majority of your food?

 


How did your biofeedback change from the beginning to now?


Did your body composition change at all from the beginning to now?

 

There are definitely more questions to be asked, but assuming that you’re doing everything right and still not seeing results then there could be a few different reasons why.
