In the season 4 opener, Izzy pays homage to Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi Bryant, and all of the other passengers on the helicopter that passed away. The episode discusses how tragedies affect the community, and the different ways that people mourn. Although there is a season to mourn, Izzy suggests that mourning forever is not acceptable. The episode makes several references to pop culture such as the film "The Intruder", and "I Dream of Jeanie".
