MINI PCOS POD: Let’s talk about bariatric surgery and PCOS
Weight is a massive issue for a lot of women with PCOS and is a concern that comes up a lot with the women I work with. When you go to the doctor, they often suggest a few different options when it comes to PCOS and often it’s “well you just need to lose weight”, and you’re thinking “well I’m already doing spin 5-6 classes a week and dieting, I’m leading a healthy lifestyle, so what else could I possibly do?!”. Often in this situation the topic of bariatric surgery starts to circulate. Bariatric surgery is a weight loss surgery that involves altering the gastrointestinal tract.
