Significant Objects: The Spell of Still Life
Curator Gloria Williams Sander explores the wealth of aesthetic and conceptual artistic strategies employed in the still life genre. Once thought of as simply an art of imitation, still life has attracted artists for centuries, and indeed continues to be an important vehicle of expression.
