#23: Ditching Perfectionism
Are you a 'perfectionist'? I think most of us are in one area of our lives or another.
Whether it's being a 'perfect' mom, making sure all your charts are 'perfect' before signing them, or keeping your house 'perfect' at all times.
Here's the thing... most of us believe that being a perfectionist is a good thing.
That as long as we're striving for perfection, we're doing a good job.
But I'm here to tell you that 'perfectionism' isn't all it's cracked up to be.
It's a protective mechanism.
And if you're not careful, it can actually be doing more harm than good in MULTIPLE areas of your life.
On today's podcast episode we're talking about...
- Where our need for perfection comes from
- How self-identifying as a perfectionist might be preventing you from getting the results you want
- How it relates to your self-confidence and self-worth
- What it takes to move forward and make 'perfectionism' a thing of the past
