Korea 2: Ancients - GoJoseon, Jin, Samhan

The history of GoJoseon the first major state, albeit prehistoric. But it was a bronze age(around 1000 BCE) society. It had to contend with the Chinese and the Jin confederation to their south. The Jin might have come up late to the scene in 4rth century BCE but were the predecessor to the Samhan of 1st century BCE. The Wi Man Joseon(the last of the three GoJoseon) had to contend with Samhan and China. They were ultimately defeated by the Wu Emperor from Han dynasty of China. The GoJoseon was replaced by 4 Chinese commanderies. Within the Samhan, some polities were more adept and thus became powerful. By the 4rth century CE/AD we note the rise of the Three kingdoms: GoGuryeo, Baekche, Silla. NOTE: The Han dynasty of China is something totally different from the "han" in Samhan.
