Its Juneteenth and you know what that means! Its time to celebrate black artistry on My Little Underground! Listen to me talk up some great black musicians that have been top of mind lately. Among the artists the discussed are Sister Rosetta Tharpe who took her unique guitar playing to many churches throughout the south and considered a founding mother of rock music. The Veldt, an unsung contributor to the shoegaze sound, Oceanator's busy year culminating in forming a label, Plastic Miracles, signing with Polyvinyl, joining the live band of Bachelor, the supergroup of Palehound and Jay Som, and more! - Peter A.
