192. In The End by Linkin Park

If you were an edgy 12-year-old growing up in a depressed former steel town in rust belt Pennsylvania in the early 2000s, you probably listened to a lot of Linkin Park. Hell, if you were alive in any capacity in the early 2000s, you probably listened to a lot of Linkin Park, whether by choice or as a victim of terrestrial radio. When Hybrid Theory dropped in 2000, In The End just kind of took over the airwaves, and seemingly continued to do so for at least another 4 years. Middle school band teachers played the piano riff to impress students, theater kids awkwardly belted the refrain in the corridors, prepubescent kids dressed just as goth as their mother would allow blasted it on $12 Sony headphones for 10 months at a time. It was inescapable, but why would anyone want to escape this incredible and timeless masterpiece.   BONUS EPISODES AND PHOTOS ON PATREON!   Links: In The End Music Video The Guys Discussing From First to Last on The Vinyl Countdown The Linkin Park v Something Corporate Episode   Songs of the week: Take It Easy by Surfaces Title Track by Machine Gun Kelly   Hit us up online!
