#30: How To Detox Your Liver

In this episode, I interview Stephanie Center about how to detox your liver. We also discuss holistic occupational therapy and what we can be doing to live longer, healthier lives. We explore the healthcare crisis that we’re living in, and what we can be doing to take more preventative measures. We also cover Stephanie’s liver detox program and the causes of non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases.

Stephanie is a holistic health practitioner and Occupational Therapist. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Master of Business in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University. She has experience working in multiple research labs including an Exercise Psychology Lab and Human Performance Lab, diving into the evidence that movement has on our health outcomes and quality of life.

Steph found the approach of functional medicine while navigating a personal health dilemma. After spending a year getting increasingly sick with no diagnosis, she decided the allopathic route wasn’t serving her well and looked to other sources for answers. Now she is on a mission to teach you how to advocate for yourself and become your own North Star while navigating the complex world of healthcare.
