Introducing: Human Error

Human Error is an audio drama podcast set in an apocalyptic version of 2033. Human Error follows a young adult named Billie as they travel across South Central Texas where society has fallen to hordes of zombie-like creatures called Errors. Having lost their own family and friends to death and tragedy, Billie takes refuge with a group of other survivors seeking safety and a cure for Errors. But Billie has more in common with the Errors than they’d like to admit to their companions. Human Error dives into loss, love, and finding hope within ourselves.

TRANSCRIPT OF THE TRAILER BELOW

KYRA:

You folks have room for one more in your group? I think I’d like to leave with you.

WAVERLY:

[Out of breath]

Thank you… for saving us… back there…

BILLIE:

[Also out of breath]

You're welcome.

EDEN:

[excited]

Here’s a jar of peanut butter! It hasn’t been opened yet either!

GUS:

Nice find, Eden! Go ahead and put that in the bag.

GRACE:

The government knew this was coming; they're too prepared.

JACE:

We’re going to go to Austin to gather information and see if any of our people made it there safely.

HAZEL:

Fuck. What are we supposed to do now?

EDEN:

Put your hearing aids on. Errors are outside and we need to go.

BILLIE:

[attention grabbed]

They have a cure?!

ANNE:

[don’t get too excited kiddo]

Supposedly. No one has been able to confirm it though.

KYRA:

I’ll be honest, I thought about it.

GUS:

Come on now, we don’t want anymore trouble.

WAVERLY:

Eden come on, that’s not fair-

EDEN:

[cutting her off]

Whatever.

KYRA:

[Yelled, urgent]

Hey, we need to stop somewhere.

BILLIE:

[siren voice]

If you make any sudden moves, I’ll kill you.

JACE:

[getting more pissed off]

Clearly your protection has worked out incredibly well if one of your men is dead!

HAZEL:

[concerned]

What happened to your ear defenders?

MATTIE:

[siren voice]

You’re a monster just like me.

BILLIE:

[siren voice. Trying to convince themself more than the siren]

You’re wrong.

MATTIE:

[siren voice]

Am I?

KYRA:

[yelling]

Banshee!!

JACE:

FUCK!! GO GO GO GO!!!

BILLIE:

[frightened, alarmed]

HAZEL!

GUS:

Everyone get down!

HAZEL:

What happened to him?

EDEN:

[worried]

D-did you get exposed?!

WAVERLY:

EDEN!

HAZEL:

HURRY UP! GET IN GET IN GET IN!!

BILLIE:

[angry, siren voice; it gets strongest at No]

I said NO

SPENCER:

[worried, alarmed, voice shaking]

How is that even possible?!

JACE:

[angry, accusing]

This is what you get when you keep a fucking siren around.

EDEN:

[Screams terrified as an error grabs them]

WAVERLY HELP!!!

DELILAH:

[very smug and clearly toying with them]

Well well well, what do we have here?

HAZEl:

[shocked and horrified]

Why they fuck are they keeping one of those here??

BILLIE:

[Yelling]

WHAT IS THAT?!

GUS:

[also yelling]

I DON'T KNOW! LET’S GET BACK TO THE TRUCK!

KYRA:

Hey asshole.

JACE:

[time to fuck shit up]

Move out of my way. I’m getting rid of that monster and then we’re getting the fuck out of here.

GUS:

Hey uh, mind if I sit here, kiddo?

WAVERLY:

Hey Kyra, come look at what I found.

KYRA:

You’re lucky it didn’t turn you.

HAZEL:

We’ll get through this, right?

BILLIE:

Of course. You and me to the ends of the earth and back again.
