What Makes a Mass Shooter
In a timespan of less than 24 hours, at least 31 people were killed in two separate mass shootings that took place in Texas and Ohio. On Saturday morning, a man walked into a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, and opened fire, according to police. Twenty-two people were killed and another two dozen injured. Late that night, another nine people were killed in an entertainment-district shooting in Dayton, Ohio. Host Tamara Khandaker talks to James Densley, a professor of criminal justice at Metropolitan State University. He is also the co-founder of the Violence Project, where they’ve been studying the life histories of mass shooters in the United States.
