Kat is one of the doomer geniuses behind Uncomfortable Brunch, a film series here in Orlando where you eat a delicious brunch while you watch an upsetting movie. It’s a hoot! This coming Sunday, July 11, UB is showing Spike Lee’s Bamboozled (2000) at noon at the Enzian Theater. You should come! The chicken and waffles will almost ease the pain of all the racism. Except not really.
Also, I guess you should vote for either Uncomfortable Brunch or the Sick ’n’ Wrong Film Festival in this year’s Orlando Weekly Best of Orlando Reader’s Poll. We’re both competing for the title of Best Film Fest or Series, but Kat basically admits that UB shouldn’t be in there, so vote for SnW instead. PLEASE?!
