Exactly a year ago, on January 30, 2020 the World Health Organisation declared that the Covid-19 outbreak is a public health emergency of international concern. We have all suffered a year of the pandemic now and it's time to look back and see what we have learned in hindsight. For this episode, Host Menaka Rao spoke to Dr Chandrakant Lahariya, a public health policy expert. He has co-authored the book Till We Win: India's Fight Against The COVID-19 pandemic, with Dr Randeep Guleria, the director of AIIMS, New Delhi and Dr Gagandeep Kang, professor of Microbiology at the Christian Medical College, Vellore which was released recently.
