This week I spent camping with my son's Boy Scout troop.  While there, I was able to dive into Cathy R. Payne's book, Saving the Guinea Hogs.   As I was reading the book, I was struck by the fact that the policies that lead to the near extinction of the American Guinea Hog were also responsible for the near extinction of homestead community.  These are my thoughts on that.   And here is a link to Cathy's wonderful book.
