My first book is titled "The Anthropology of Islamic Law: Education, Ethics, and Legal Interpretation at Egypt's Al-Azhar". It will be published by Oxford University Press in April of 2019. Currently I am working on a second book about global projects to reshape the norms and beliefs of Muslim populations across the globe, giving special attention to interrelated projects on human rights, counter-extremism, and Islamic reform.
