This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots… Just the facts… for Thursday July 23rd, 2020.  We are approaching 4 million cases in the U.S., 915,000 of them were added in the last two weeks. CNN notes that is more than all of the cases reported in June. President Trump told Fox News; he thinks testing is “overrated” but he is willing for the country to keep doing it. California, Missouri, North Dakota and West Virginia reported record daily cases yesterday. California passed New York and now has the most COVID-19 cases in the U.S.  1.4 million Americans filed for first time unemployment last week. After postponing this spring, Major League Baseball celebrates Opening Day for an abridged season today.   Global cases have crossed 15 million. Japan and Argentina reported record daily cases yesterday. A report written by the British Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee, relayed their disappointment in the government’s preparedness planning for a pandemic, noting, ““We are astonished by the government’s failure to consider in advance how it might deal with the economic impacts of a pandemic”.
